The role of NGOs

NGOs act as direct partners of BePangea and have the possibility to sell products under their own name.

Producers and buyers can thus address themselves directly to those who are referenced on the web site.

We find NGOs in the local Collectives where they can organize logistic operations.

They have the freedom to emit certifications and to make controls.

The producers

Any producer can use the online trading system and the logistic networks of BePangea on the condition of subscribing to the Charter and supplying the information authorizing the control of the conformity of his products and his means of production.

The products

BePangea classifies products in three groups:

products connected to actions of development under the direct sponsoring of a NGO or recognized as being a part of an effort of development;
certified products (organic farming, crafts, products stemming from networks improving working conditions, environment-friendly productions, etc.);
non-certified products (together the other products).

The certifications

Certifications are an important factor mattering in the promotion of a product.

They can concern existing labels or be awarded by a NGO or by BePangea.

In that case they refer:

to the quality or the origin of the product,
to the guarantee of an ecological mode of production or respectful of social and ethical conditions,
to a production linked to an action of development,
to a peculiarity of the product or the producer,
etc.

On all deals, BePangea offers the possibility of a public display of all prices and costs, from the producer to the final buyer!

The producers also have a web page, which everyone can reach with the use of the number printed on the product.
