Definition of a producer

A producer is a person, a group of persons, a company or some other legally recognizable and responsible identity.
A producer is characterized by his launch on the market of products or services.

Duty of validation of the Charter

Every producer wishing to engage operations with BePangea must sign the Charter and validate the part of this last one who treats of " Purposes and commitments of producers ".

In a implicit way, any start of operation by / for a producer is considered as a tacit validation of the Charter and of all of its parts.

Consequences of the validation of the Charter

The validation of the Charter authorizes a producer to benefit from services and from performances supplied by BePangea according to the planned and available modalities.

By this validation, every producer makes a commitment:

  • to supply on inquiry all the information and the proofs useful for conformity controls,
  • to authorize BePangea, the local Collective or the accredited NGO to control the sites of production, the mode of production to verify their conformity with the Charter,
  • to authorize BePangea to publish the information relative to the sale of the products.

Extensions of the producer’s position

Every producer who wishes it and who is approved by BePangea can be a member of a local Collective according to the Agreements of these last ones and can benefit from wages according to his activities, without distinction between his own products or products of third producers.

Autonomy in decision-making and responsibilities

Subject to specific arrangements (participation of Collectives and\or NGOs, the producer is the only decision-maker and responsible of the engaged operations.

He is responsible for the quality, the quantity and the packaging of his products.

It is responsible for holding the promised deadlines.

It is to him that returns :

  • to choose the buyer,
  • to determine or to approve the modalities of the deal,
  • to validate or to approve the sale price, the final sale price and the intermediate expenses.

Support for producers

The producers who wish it, can benefit from the support of the local Collective if it exists. In defect, they benefit from the support of the National Collective.

Request of increasing sale prices and helps

The discriminated producers can send to BePangea a motivated carrying request on:

  • a rise of their sale prices according to a reference fair price,
  • or / and a punctual help.

The treatment of this request is made on the basis of the Charter by the Committee of BePangea according to the possibilities and the priorities of the moment.

Request for Certifications

The producers who wish it and think they can benefit from certifications can send their request to BePangea or to an accredited NGO.

Consequences of the non compliance with the Charter

In case of non compliance or of nonconformity, the producer exposes himself:

  • to the payment of the expenses of control,
  • to the withdrawal and the return of his products at his expenses,
  • to the temporary or the definitive exclusion of BePangea,
  • to the possible public publication of the information about the dispute,
  • to the retreat of any certification or beforehand granted label,
  • to the cessation of any action of help in his favour,
  • to legal proceedings,
  • to expenses and compensations.


Right of refusal or exclusion of a producer

The Collectives and the NGOs engaged in the operations, have the right to refuse or to exclude temporarily a producer whatever motive it can be, and no appeal can be engaged.
BePangea has the right to refuse or to exclude temporarily or definitively a producer and no appeal can be engaged.
